what do u mean by pic based ups?
it seems u wanna interface pic with ups
i think no ups has provided direct interface with any pic u have to design an interface by ur self

i means around near 1200w ups diagram and sofwtare .on the microchip website available PICREF-1 . but its parts not available easy and also costly. so i need any microcontroller base circuit of ups .that input 12v or 24v .output 240v 50hz.and also monitor battery.

if u are going with square wave just use this

output_high(pin_a0);
delay_ms(10);
output_low(pin_a0);
delay_ms(10);


this outputes the 50hz square wave.

for sine wave u have to do the pwm.and use filter on the output.
