Looking for info about VCO based on ring oscillator

i want to design a vco based on ring oscillator, there are different types of delay sells but i don't know the difference betweent them .i want some papers about this topic.

u can search on the IEEE paper section their are uploaded

yes ,razavi has a book about PLL, you can get detail information .

u can just read Razavi's design of analog ic's. u will get a good idea.

regarding a ring vco, am i right in thinking the oscillating frequency is inversely proportional to the number of stages? what difference will it make having 15 stages compared to having 5 stages?
