Hello All,

As a class project, I am supposed to design a PA design for a WCDMA application in either 0.18um or 0.35um CMOS technologies.

Can you inform me the pros and cons of those techs to help me decide... Also, are there any commercial CMOS PA products on the market?

I would appreciate any advices/links/circuit examples that would help me on that.

Thanks,

SiliconLab released a CMOS PA......
There seems to be some patent in its design...
so you may check papers of IEEE, there are a lot of papers on CMOS PA

the PA is for GSM and EDGE not CDMA , CDMA requires more linear PA , not like GSM

Re: CMOS PA Design

Read the book "RF CMOS Power Amplifiers":

Axiom-Microdevices and SiLabs have CMOS PA's on the market
