Hi can someone help me to start with electronics.Dont tell me the Ohms law and stuff like that I know them all

Re: Starting electronics

Do u have any idea about semiconductor physics and circuit analysis

Starting electronics

Horowitz: Art of Electronics
Sedra, Smith: Microelectronic Circuits

Re: Starting electronics

hey both the books mentioned above are very good try anyone of them but the one by Sedra and Smith is generally used everywhere

i suggest one site to learn basics of electronics through animations
try www.malvino.com
its official site of book by malvino that offers you animation view of what we study in basics.

Re: Starting electronics

I think studying any book other than Sedra/Smith book for a beginer is a waste of time!

Re: Starting electronics

Hi,
your question is more general , what you need in electronics
if you make simple search on interent you will find what you need as basics
BR

Starting electronics

study
Sedra, Smith: Microelectronic Circuits
EDC by Boylestead

Starting electronics

if you are learning electronics for hobby then learn
Microcontroller and PIC

Starting electronics

U can take help from the following books...
1>Art of Electronics
2>Electronic Principles-MAlVINO
3>Microelectronics by Grabel/SEDRA and SMITH

Re: Starting electronics

Are you studying engineering or want to learn it as a hobby?
by that I mean you want to learn technical stuff or detailed theory of how things work?
since there is a diff.
If you want to learn to be able to understand why and where use them than the books will make things complicated else they are the best place to start.
choose the way first.

Re: Starting electronics

I am also new in the forum and i also have a little idea about Electronics ,

But as the way I started to learn Electronics is like the following way ....

1. tried to learn about metal-semiconductors-insulators ,their properties , their nature of work

2. concept of diode , transistors , and vacuum tubes .

3. practical applications of them ...

4. basically the most important portion seemed to me is the analog circuit design portion ,....

the better options may be

1. Basic Electronics (Indian author ----Rakshit & chattopadhyay)
2. 8051 up programming (Ayala)
3. Art of Electronics (Horowitz)
4. Electronic Principles (Malvino & Leach)

Re: Starting electronics

read millman and halkies .
best electronic book

Re: Starting electronics

reasd the foolwng

sedra smith

millman grabel
millman halkias

after reading this u can go for some book on solid state physics

if after reading thi s u want to go for vlsi design
try mead & conway

Re: Starting electronics

Electronics Circuits and Theory, by Boylstad and Nashelsky

Re: Starting electronics

download starting electronics from mininova.org

Starting electronics

Hi,

really starting point is very gud time, better learn with reason that is, if you r starting with new device first know application of that device and go ahead then it will be very interesting and easy to learn.
