hi .
can anybody please sugess me any sensor to measure distance of 0 to 10 meters minimum .
I want to interface it with pic micro-controller .
basically i want to sense obstacle between door (sliding door) and turn off door.
i dont want to use reflector type sensor because of some technical reasons for example dust .

Hello,

i tested this product , and i only get a maximum distance < 5M,
so think it can't reach a so long distance as 10Meters !
and it is not a probleme of software ..

but Ultrsaonic power on emitter device..
(or more sensitive on receiver)

Maybe we can Overdrive the emitter , with a power amplifier ?

Does someone test it successfully at this distance (10Meters) ?

Nope the HC-SR04 can give u only so much.
If u want a better range i recommend u to check out long range ultrasonic transmitters. U will have to build your own module for this.
