I am running it from Fedora Core 4 and Fedora Core 3. I have seen it run on Suse 9.3 and 10 (beta version). I am confident that you can install it on almost any Linux version today, since they are very similar, however, Cadence supports only RHEL 2.1 and 3.0.
In general works fine, only thing you need is to set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL to 2.4.1 an properly set environment variables for Cadence.
I'm using it in Debian 3.0 (Woody), 3.1 (Sarge) and now in its testing version (Etch) without any error even no need to set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 However, there is a trick to use its waveform viewer.
