Light Dependent Resistor light frequency

Can LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sense pulsed light with frequency of 1 KHz ?

My initial guess was no. But, I don't know much about LDR - I found something online.

Look at page 4, there is a graph of voltage vs frequency, and it really only detects up to 100 Hz. But I could be wrong, they might have a more expensive LDR made for such purposes.
