Wifi stands for Wireless Fidelity..... Range depends at many factors,,,, like Transmitter Power mean which type of wireless router you are using for network set up..... Normal TP Link and D Link Routers with 4 Ports Provides a Range of 300 Feet Radius.... but in some areas wi fi range is 28000 feet so it depends upon the transmitting power that depends on type of router,,,,,
one more thing Range also Depends on Network Design if u are using many Access Points in a building then definitely its range will be long and signal strength will be high......
