Ya optical transmission is more safer if u luk on taping of a signal..
The complexity increase in taping because due to light and encoding scheme with modulation one can't predict the proper demodulation scheme unless and until he/she not aware abt transmission scheme...
u should know how fiber optic work, it's just like a small pipe wich is create by mirror.
u can't say that optical more safe, many system using fiber optic because his capability to transfer data with long distance, very very long distance, without voltage drop. but when the mirror pipe inside the fiber optic is break, u can't send any data at all.
