Is Optical data transmission is safer than Wire transmission ?

i.e weather some time data corrupt during optical transmission ?

gnjus said:
Optical Wireless transmission -> NO
Optical Fiber transmission -> YES

I mean
If data transfer through optical cable is safer than wire transmission ?

Re: Is Optical data transmission is safer than Wire transmis

Ya optical transmission is more safer if u luk on taping of a signal..

The complexity increase in taping because due to light and encoding scheme with modulation one can't predict the proper demodulation scheme unless and until he/she not aware abt transmission scheme...

but any other media can be tapped easily

u should know how fiber optic work, it's just like a small pipe wich is create by mirror.

u can't say that optical more safe, many system using fiber optic because his capability to transfer data with long distance, very very long distance, without voltage drop. but when the mirror pipe inside the fiber optic is break, u can't send any data at all.

Re: Is Optical data transmission is safer than Wire transmis

for the fact : it's better and saver...

wire transmission --> have impedance which can cause the losses
can be interfered by EMI, surge and other faults

optical transmission -->faster speed( speed of light), no others intrusion but mechanical instrusion . but of course, more expensive

just choose which one is better for you..
