make your own ac servo drive

Hi,

Just an wild idea. Can we make it with DSPIC, IRMCK201, ATMEGA?
What I mean is a fully Vector-Control AC Servo.
Just curious. Anyone has been in such project? Please share, we want to hear from you.:D
