By any Chance does anyone have a Schematic or BOM for the IOMega 80GB USB external Hard drive ?
I dropped it and I broke the D3 Diode. IOMega will only talk to you if you pay them ! Be warned.

It's an Orange Diode right behind the USB connector. I did search the web but no luck.

The other option will to get one of these.
**broken link removed**

Thanks

Maybe good photo from both side to see PCB tracks, will help to make conclusion of part purpose and value in that circuit.

Do you think HD survive? If there is chance and possibility try HD in other rack with other usb interface.

I just got an old HP laptop Power supply that was broke, and found a diode that was the same/ had the same markings.
(Orange SMD diode with only 1 black strip) installed it and it worked.
