Hello, I had the same problem in ubuntu 7.10, solved , now the installation stops due to the following problem
symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
I've seen this problem in many forums, for which the solution is
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1
still doesn't work, I looked for the kernel I have (uname -r) and put that but still doesn't work, do I have to install the GLIBC??? if so, the oldest I found wasn't exactly the 2.0, it was the 2.0.7, does it work any ways??? is the installation of GLIBC the solution to my problem??? please help!!!!
