infrared robot car having camera using 8051 microcontrolle

hi
i have an interest in making a robo car work as spyrobo using infrared transmitter & receiver using 8051 microcontroller.
is there anyone who guide me for making remote which have 4 button for movement in forward,backward,right,left direction.
explain how i modulate the infrared ray.

Hi,

If you want to use IR , then better to use encoder. the output of encoder is directly give to IR transmitter. Then IR receiver output is given to decoder and the decoder output is given to micro.

The encoder is HT12E and the decoder is HT12D. Easily you can get correct output.
