Hi,
I had faced the same question initiallly.
So here is the procedure.

1) You need to buy/build a programmer for fusing the program. The circuit and software is available over elektroda or search over the google.

2) I hope you have your own circuit. If not build it.

3) Write the program and use programmer to 'rogram the pic. Transfer the PIC to your target circuit.

note that 877A is not easy to program. Avoid it for time being.

Using Propic2 and ICProg I program it without any problem (from the 1st time)
