Igbt with-without diode

Hi I got an order for40n60igbt from China but I felt I got cheated


The part I ordered have d letter so its 40n60d the seller send 40n60
Can I add diode. Across emitter collector. Also what is diode current and amper used 3 amp 600/v I think is good. ....well if more amps needed I don't think it will physically fitt

I would start with an application-realistic collector-emitter
I-V curve pull and see whether the diode characteristic
(if any) matches your 4n60d. Then maybe look at whether
4n60 and 4n60d are actually different in construction, or
only that the "d" adds specs on a diode that's there to
begin with, but had no specs.

Now sending you differently-marked parts than ordered,
is a no-no. What recourse you have, is known only to you
and the seller. You may be screwed by the fine print, or
not. But if this is a "too bad about those sanctions, but I
can help you out" transaction you probably have not so
many options and may be dealing with some shady gray
market stuff.

Its same exact igbt just one with diode one. Without so can I add igbt
