How to identify the feedback element in a feedback network (Transistor's and opamp's various circuits)?

In many cases, there is not only one single feedback "element" but a feedback circuitry consisting (mostly) by several passive elements.
Hence, it is the transfer function of this feedback network (from the output to the input) which matters.
