Identify erased labed IC from PCB

Hi guys, and thanks for you forum!
I am new and forgive me if posted this to wroong thread!

I need help with this pcb (on photo) it is a car electronic pard that i need to find the name and type of 2 ic , it seems that the ics are scratched on the top..
Is there any way to identify these 2 chips?

Only the manufacturer would know and they are the ones who removed the markings to stop the board being cloned. Both parts are standard packages so they could be any of thousands of devices and in any case may hold a program which you would not be able to read from them.

Depending on the type of printing, sometimes an erased label can be made visible. First, I would try a UV lamp to look for fluorescence or quenching, as it is the least invasive. Then, because the characteristics of the epoxy may be slightly changed by an imprint, I would try an oxidative etch. That is very much like recovering the serial number on a gun or engine block that has has it ground off.

Thanks Japanhalt, i'll try with fluorecent light,
I just thought if there was any way to identify these chips some way with a multimeter, since according to their type there may be a resistence on some pins that can identify which ones they are, as for the programs they may hold i can see on the pcb some pins have external connections (jtag??) and maby there was a way reading the flash program..
anyway i think that it is very very diffcult to decode this pcb!

Just to clarify, I meant a UV lamp used to examine for fluorescence. Sorry for the carelessness. I have edited my comment.
