Ideas for micro pressure sensor designs

I've started an open-ended design project and I'm looking for ideas for a design of a micro pressure sensor, can anyone recommend any new/interesting applications that I can work from for my design? Doesn't have to be an original idea; just something interesting I can adapt.

HI, thanks for the reply, looks interesting but im more looking for mechanical areas/uses for pressure sensors. I want an new/interesting area in pressure sensing that i can hopefully design some mask plates for.
