ICD2 Limited Edition????????

Microchip man says, from his memory:

The ICD 2 LE is an ICD 2 in a PICkit 2 package. It looks like a blue
PICkit 2 (no silk screen of Steve) but it functions like a standard
ICD 2. In other words, MPLAB IDE does not distinguish between an ICD 2
and an ICD 2 LE.

Important differences between an ICD 2 LE and a full ICD 2:
+ LE is USB only, No RS-232 serial connection
+ LE cannot power the target board.
+ LE uses a PICkit 2 style connector rather than the RJ-11.
+ No SAR support for the LE. (No replacements.) *

For now, you won't be able to buy an ICD 2 LE. You can get one only
through these seminars.

what do you think. only must be a 2550 on it??

It would have to contain both the 18F4550 & 16F877 as in the original as it supports the OS uploading for the 877. TQFP PICs are very small. I saw them at the last Microchip conference.

Yes, i think it have 18F4550 & 16F877 same ICD2

yes it is having PIC18F4550 and PIC16F877A in TQFP PAckage and for output fubber it is using DG411 and it is driving from target power.
and is using 34063 as VPP voltage generator
i dont know the use of switch in it
