under Linux, which type of device does 24c64 belong to? char device or block device?
to write a i2c bus driver, may I refer to a sketch driver of tty?

could anyone proviced some suggestions?

I m not sure, but I hope it belongs to char driver. coz, I2C send the data by SDA . If I m not correct, Let me know.

I found a driver for 24cxx:
**broken link removed**

but I don't understand it.
if used GPIO pin to simulate I2C bus, how to modify it to be suitable?

It is char device.
becoz we send & recieve data serially bit by bit.
If u understand i2c protocol ,u can easily write driver.
