I use IrDA connect to mcu,but how to write the protocol?

I want to connect IrDA to 8051(or other mcu). because I will make project IrDA to PC.
Please tell me how to write the protocol in IrLAP and IrLMP.

Try the microchip mcp21xx IC you only have to control the IC and send the data serially. go to www.microchip.com

But I don't want to use the mcp2150,so would you tell me another way?
 

Tha application note is very good.

Does anyone have a good C code for IrDA implimentation ?
