Howto control ADF4350 through C/C++ program from PC

I have bought ADF4350 evaboard (ug-110). I want to develop a program using C/C++ language to control ADF4350, so that it can generate signal at certain frequency specified by the program. The board is connected to the sPC through USB connection.

I need some advices and inputs how to develop such program. How to send data to ADF4350 registers through USB connection? Can I just use serial communication method for this evaboard? or I have to develop USB-based data communication?
