Actually I want to know how TV becomes on when we press on/off switch of remote control. what exactly happens, how the smps in tv become on/off ?

Re: tv problem

dats infrared communication..
ur tv remote acts as transmitter while receiver is in the tv.
when some button is pressed on remote, some signal is sent to receiver.which is then decoded by receiver and according to dat switching takes place
