how to use a laserdiode

hello everyone,

Can anyone please help me out how to use laser diode ,cable and photo detector in matlab as there are no pre build blocks of above items in matlab. Actually i am working on radio over fiber for OFDM and i am using matab simulink. I have got OFDM model but i am facing problem in laser , cable and photo detector.
I will be very greatful to you guys.
