DC Command Question ?

How to suppress error message in synopsys DC?
in man page ,I find suppress_messages command
but no suppress_error_messages command
what command can suppress error message( ex: aa-44)
???

Re: DC Command Question ?

Basically, Design Compiler (or Physical Compiler) does not allow user to
suppress the Error message(s).
Since "Error" may follow with unpredictable result.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only a few (maybe 1 ~ 2) specific Error message(s) can be suppressed.
Of course, not using "suppress**" command.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way, there are still some variable(s) that can re-define the severity
of the status, and change some message(s) from Error to Warning or vice versa.
Then, maybe you can suppress these (maybe 2 ~ 3) Warning messages.

just curious ,

you have an error , and you want to skip the errors ...

DC Command Question ?

I think, it is best to solve the problem in your script to remove those ERROR message, instead of suppress them... although you know those ERROR
is acceptable to you...

for example, in your script, you use:
sh mkdir report

but the report already exist, one error will be prompted.

You need to solve this one; you can use some
command to decide whether the directory exist..
before make the directory.

Hope this help you.
