I suggest you to purchase a develompent board containing FPGA (beginning cost from 100 $) and create a simple project at first.

Re: send help

see this topic first, it contains some advice for an FPGA newbie also:

get any VHDL book from this link or make more searching, any book will do (VHDL is a bit difficult than Verilog, but once u get the hang of it, verilog will be a piece of cake):

this book is a great start for FPGA:

try to go to the site of the FPGA vendor ur board deals with and see some tutorials and simple applications

which board will u get???

good luck
