odd mode excitation

I saw your e-mail.

Have you looked over the threads in the forum?

There are also useful books by Simon and by Waddel describing various transmission line structures.

Your best bet is to look into those.

hfss calculate odd mode impedance

oh,azulykit
the main problem is I cannot use HFSS to get the even-mode and odd-mode impedance and S-parameters I wanted after trying many times,so I am undecided about my model's setup.

I need some more details for designing in HFSS ..

regards

(1) Choosing the driven terminal (not driven modal);
(2) draw two terminal lines when setting the waveports;
(3) after simulation, you can get the differential impedance Zdiff and common impedance Zcomm. Then the even mode impedance Zeven = 2*Zcomm, the odd mode impedance Zodd = 0.5*Zdiff.
