measure power losses...

Hiii everybody,

Have anybody here knows the method to measure power losses for High Pressure Sodium Vapor (HPSV) ballast?

Please help.

Re: measure power losses...

The matter is not so difficult for a magnetic ballast. With an Ohmmeter measure the coil resistance Rc. With the lamp on, measure the current to the circuit Ic. The power loss should be Ic*Ic*Rc
Hope that helps.
Good luck
