can this circuit work as an oscillator
i simulated it and it worked correctly at 95 Mhz but when i tested it it gives me 1.27Ghz
can it be modified to 95Mhz

Re: oscillator at 95Mhz

Circuit is an oscillator. Base emitter capacitor 300pF is unusual. What do you mean by tested? What kind of transistor is NS3904? Is it 2N3904?

Re: oscillator at 95Mhz

it is2n3904 and i implemented it (tested it practically)
how it gave 1.27GHZ????????????????

Re: oscillator at 95Mhz

2N3904 is a 100MHz transistor.

and it is almost impossible to oscillate at 1.27GHz.

One thing could happen. The circuit is oscillating somewhere close to 100MHz, and if you are using a frequency counter to measure the frequency, for some reasons this one is picking up the 12 harmonic. Sound crazy but it is a possibility.
The best is to use an oscilloscope for measurement.

Re: oscillator at 95Mhz

i used spectruma analyzer to view the results
i first used 3904 and it gives 630 MHZ
then i replaced it by 9018 then it gave 1.27 Ghz (fundamental)and i couldnot seee the harmonics because the spectrum max was 3 Ghz
