How to learn mobile communications with FPGA?

Who can give me information , how to learn mobile comm (like 3g, gsm , wimax) with FPGA ?

WHere should i start ?
how to enter into these fields...can anybody help me inthis regard please...

Hi there,

Would you like to learn these topics as manager(high level) or as engineer(implementation details, low level)? There are many FPGA / HDL books on this site. Also many digi-comm / DSP books available. It is a very broad area and depends on your background and your goal.

If you have a more detailed question, I would be happy to help.

thanks for the reply...

i did my m.tech in digital systems and computer electronics from JNTU , India..
now i want to become an engineer(implementation details, low level ). I know
verilog, and i did some prog in xilinx student ed environment, upto simulation level.
and coming to mobile comm i know small bit of bluetooth and gsm .

now could u please guide me to reach my goa. and can u give the links for the books and projects...
