How to learn C programing in PIC?

C programing in PIC

HI, I'M PREVIOUSLY USING MPLAB TO WRITE ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE TO PROGRAM PIC MICROCONTROLLER.

NOW I NEED TO LEARN C PROGRAM WHICH I NEVER USE BEFORE, CAN SOMEBODY SUGGEST WHERE CAN I REFER OR LEARN HOW TO WRITE C.

hi i think that is good work to use c programming
the bast program (compiler) "CCS" (i think) there are another compiler as" Pic H-Tech c compiler " but i think that very difficate
so you will :
1- search for CCS + pic
2- down load the program
3- search in it's help about it's functions
4- i think that is good to learn the language
note :
i learn this program by this steps

first get some books about c language. when u will become familiar with the common syntax and rules try some book about programming c in pic.

You can also try MPLAB C18, they have a free/student edition to download.

Hai

For PIC in my opinion you can consider two choices

CCS compiler or HI-Tech Compiler.

CCS is "said to be" user friendly and more easy to start with.

More built in functions and more books available to start with.


But HI-tech is ANSI C and more portable code will be the result.


My opinion go for Hi tech PICC compiler (www.htsoft.com )

goto www.microchipc.com for example programmes on hi tech.
