I just bought a machine that is 120vac and the rpm's is 175 ...
I want to increase the rpm's to say 300 ...
How can I do this ? Can I just double the frequency using an ac to ac converter?
AND wil this increase the current draw?

AC to AC

Can't be done in any reasonable way.

AC to AC

you just connect the transformer to increase the voltages

Added after 1 seconds:

you just connect the transformer

Re: AC to AC

do not increase the voltage beyond safe limit. your instrument will burn out.

AC to AC

Hi

Doubling the frequency will not solve the purpose. Also the torque of the motor for the application has also to be considered.

Re: AC to AC

u can decrease by increasing load...but i think u cant increase it..

AC to AC

by increasing the frequency thier will be no effect on the amplitude.if u want to increase the amplitude or u can say that voltages than connect the step up transformer which will increase the voltages
