Hi All
I bought a GSM module for send sms . and I want send sms to another modem that it located in desert!!!!!!!!! so , there, we doesn't have any antenna . I want send sms and transmit data to that modem . How can I improve the antenna? can I use the BTS antenna ? Is there another way to do that? becaus we know the BTS antenna is very expensiv!

please help me . thanks

Re: improve gsm antenna

You could try using an antenna with higher directivity. Consider a horn antenna, yagi-like antenna, dish reflector, ... The higher it's directivity, the further your range reaches.

Yet I don't know whether these things are on the market for GSM.

Re: improve gsm antenna

Which GSM module did u buy? I can search for compatible antennae.

Re: improve gsm antenna

Just to have in mind that in GSM (due to the time delay) the distance from the Base Station can be maximum 35 km.
