How to find the right DC/DC step-up

Hello everyone,

first off, i probably posted in the wrong subforum. Please feel free to move this thread.

I am looking for a step-up circuit with an IC, but don't know how to find the appropriate one. (go through the data sheet of every single one?)
I need a step-up circuit with approximately the following data:
V in = 0.5V - 4V
V out = 5V
I out = 0.5A

How do I find something like that? Are there search engines? Does the name of the IC have a code?
