Hi,I have to design some matching networks and have to use RF chokes ,Dc and AC blocking capacitors in some particular technology. How do i find what is the minimum and maximum values of the inductor and capacitors that can be used in the design.Suppose if those values not provided in technology documents. Is there any test procedure to find these values. Could someone share the step by step procedure or relevant book names.

These are a few factors for selecting L and C values:

* current available to drive it (that is, create changes in voltage)
* amount of current you want to be able to go through it
* offer low or high impedance at a given frequency

Thanks for the reply. Recently I attended a presentation in which the presentor said that the maximum value of inductor they can use in their technology is only 1.2nm.I want to know how did they come up with this 1.2nm limit .
