How to enter the field of Mixed Signal Design?

pls let me know ;To enter mixed signal design field which topics,software one should know?

In softwares, you try OrCAD for mixed signal schematic entry.

For theoritical knowledge, you'd better try material available in National semiconductor , TI and Analog Devices websites.
