Copyrights only protects the expression of the idea, and not the idea itself. So if someone takes your idea and recodes his own implementation, then there is no copyright violation. Because of this, copyrights are only good for music, video and books (at least in theory). The only good thing about copyright is that no registration is required. Anything that is created by you is copyrighted. You do not even have to stamp on the copyright word, just have to prove that you created it.
Protection of ideas and concepts falls under patents, and that requires your idea to be evaluated by the Patents Office.
