I have schematics saved in the DXF format.
Any (free) DXF to JPG converters?

Don't convert to jpeg unless you really need the space, jpeg is a lossy format and by using it you are losing data especialy details, if you wan't to compress your images you can use irfanview:
www.irfanview.com or even acdsee

Yes, better to PNG, TIFF, GIF
