How to connect external monitor to toshiba portege m500 laptop using vista?

i have toshiba portege M500 laptop. I installed vista in my laptop. I want to connect this laptop to one external monitor. I am using Function+F5 key but it is not detected. Kindly help me to resolve this issue. Note: Monitor is good working condition.

try to use a connect projector keyboard shortcut: win logo key + p
