In a RF class E PA design, how to calculate or choose the value of the DC feed inductor that is connected between the power supply and the drain of the switching transistor? Any specific equations? Or just choose a large inductance? Thanks.

1. SRF
2. Max current rating
3. Larger inductance value

The value of this inductor is very critical. Ideally is to integrate this inductor in the output matching network, tuning its value for best efficiency, output power and linearity. All of these parameters are affected by this inductor.
