How to check a 40822 MOSFET?

I am troubleshooting a device and I think this transistor is faulty. Can anyone tell me how to confirm if this is really faulty or not? I have attached the datasheet. Should I get the voltages mentioned in "test conditions" of this datasheet if I check it with a multimeter?
