how install scl1.2 on linux8.0?

how intall eda on linux???

thx

normally, 1. uncompress; 2. unpackage; 3. install.
most eda tools don't need you compile them, just install.

I have failed in installing scl1.2 on redhat 8.0. But by following the same procedure, the scl1.2 can be installed correctly on redhat7.2

it's no problem that scl on rh8, this is my friend told me.
i use mandrake9, scl is ok on it.

oh, the problem is compress/uncompress command lost on rh8/mandrake9. copy one from old version. or update your install file, use 'gunzip' to replace 'uncompress'.
try it.

it includes two files: 1. common.g.z 2. linux.g.z. The common file includs .install.now that it can install auto. The linux file including real information for scl

how can I do?

thx

suggestion to solve scl1.2 installation in redhat8 is that run/install scl1.2 in redhat7.3 and then, copy the whole scl directory to redhat8. then, run the lmgrd as appropriate.

tried & it solved the problem.
