How equalization in communication is related to DSP?

Hi, Its you again...
Equalization is necessary for a signal if you require some filtering on it
(equalizers are form of/sort of band pass filters) exmple, in amplifiers, equalization is applied/implemented when the need for flat frequency response is wanted (flat reponse in amplifiers esp. audio are simply good)
