Switching Regulator

Hi all,
I want to learn about the working principle of switching voltage regulator. Can somebody tell me how they work? I want to use LT1374 Switching Regulator IC. I want to learn about that IC..

As previous messages said, the web is plenty of info but consider visiting

www.powerint.com and download PI Expert and theit apps notes

www.onsemi.com and get POWER 1-2-3 and of course more info available there.

www.ti.com and look for UNITRODE seminars

Trough Emule you will find a pdf version of a SMPS that is very good !!!!
