What Exactly you want??? How TC(TURBOC) works in particular???
It is impractical to ask as it is proprietary software.
If you want to know "how compilers work, in general" Then it is quite ok.

OK I assume you want to know general aspects and working of a compiler. refer any standard compiler writing book.
I liked the "AI Holub" compiler design in c book.

But the link bellow is also very good try it

Jack Crenshaw
it uses pascal but it is easy.

A classic in the field of compiler techniques is the "Dragon Book" . The current eddition is called the Purple Dragon Book by Alfred V. Aho, Ravi Sethi, Jeffrey D. Ullman and Monica S. Lam.

yes right, Since My college days Aho-Ullman is a standard book in compiler techniques.
But AI Holub and "jack crenshaw" are more practical oriented in my view.
