How can you make a shared folder in Linux?
Is that difference between, as example, Windows XP?

tried using SAMBA?
or NFS?
powerful tools for these tasks.

No, I use SUSE 9.2

You can use samba.
SUSE is the Linux distribution.
Samba is a set of software which can run in SUSE.

navigate to sytem tools,server configurations,then samba & nfs server settings.

If you are going to sharing a folder with a computer runing linux ,then you can use nfs.If windows,then use samba
 

Linux Problems

After you setup Samba or NFS...
select folder, go to properties and select share...
remember to add "fileshare" in the usergroups.
