I guess you are asking about operation of a specific PCB tool, but you forgot to mention it. Is it Altium Designer?

Rooms are most useful for multi channel designs (i.e. multiple identical modules that you want to lay out identically), but aside from that I haven't found any other use for them so far. Just select the room in the PCB viewer (red rectangle) and press Delete to get rid of it. However, it will be re-added every time you import changes from your schematics unless you disable it.

Disable the "Room" with following steps. Go to "Project>Project Option>Class Generation>Generate Rooms" remove the tick mark. This will disable the room.
