How can I choose the value of weffect

there are 45 degree bend gates in my layout, In lvs command, W = TRUNC(W*10e7)/10e7 - weffect * BENDS(tlngate) * L. So lvs can calculate out different width with different weffect value. How can I choose the value of weffect? 0 or 1?
