I have an output pin of an instance and an input pin of an instance which are begin point and end point respectively. I have to highlight the data path between the given beginpoint and endpoint and get the name of the instances in the path. Is there any cadence innovus command to help me with this task? If not is it possible to write a script to accomplish this task. Can you give me some ideas on the script. Thanks in advance.

i don't know cadence innovus, so i can't help there

i will suggest, however, that (since this sounds like a school exercise)
that the best thing to do is work it out with the given information using
paper and pencil. make a sketch of the circuit, like a map, to follow the path

if the goal is to understand the circuit(s), then doing it by hand will be best
if the goal is learning how to write scripts, then doing that is the best course

you can try the report_timing command with options -to and -from
