Hi

I have tried to simulate a structure previously simulated with supernec, with hfss. but i don't get the same results at all.
the aim, while simulating with super nec was to have a null in the pattern, and as show the file i have attached, it's there. but there is no such a thing in the hfss simulation, even when i change the source's magnitude and phase of excitation.
is the problem with my hfss simulation?

please help!
many thanks in advance
sara

Please do not forget that HFSS uses final elements method, not Method of Moments, as Supernec.
MoM uses infinite ground, and can solve the field at 0 Hz ( DC).
You will have to check the setings and/or help files for HFSS.
Can't help you more, as I am unable to open your model at the moment.

When I simulate with supernec, I have a null of -60dB, but with HFss, it's only -20dB. Is it the dynamic range of HFSs that is not wide enough? how could it be changed?

Thanks in advance if you reply

the supernec may not create the correct data for you ,

I have used supernec before, and it's resulted value can only be reference.
